 Privacy Policy for CloudDock

CloudDock is a file management app that allows users to connect their own Dropbox account and manage their Dropbox files. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and how users can contact us.


Information We Access


CloudDock uses the Dropbox API only after you choose to connect your Dropbox account and approve the requested Dropbox permissions. Depending on the actions you take in the app, CloudDock may access:


- Your basic Dropbox account information, such as account name and email address.

- Dropbox file and folder metadata, such as file names, folder names, paths, file sizes, and modified dates.

- Dropbox file content when you choose to preview, download, upload, move, rename, delete, restore, or share files.

- Dropbox sharing information when you create or view shared links.


How We Use Information


CloudDock uses Dropbox information only to provide the app's file management features, including:


- Signing in to Dropbox using OAuth.

- Displaying your Dropbox files and folders.

- Uploading and downloading files.

- Creating folders.

- Moving, renaming, deleting, and restoring files.

- Searching files.

- Showing file thumbnails or previews where available.

- Creating and viewing shared links.


CloudDock does not sell your personal information. CloudDock does not use your Dropbox data for advertising or unrelated tracking.


Dropbox Authentication


CloudDock uses Dropbox OAuth 2.0 with PKCE to connect your Dropbox account securely. The app does not ask for or store your Dropbox password. Access tokens and refresh tokens may be stored securely on your device so the app can keep you signed in until you disconnect your account or revoke access.


Data Storage


CloudDock is designed to access your Dropbox data for app functionality. Dropbox files remain stored in your Dropbox account unless you choose to download files to your device or upload local files to Dropbox. The app may store limited local preferences, such as app settings or locally pinned folders, on your device.


Data Sharing


CloudDock does not share your Dropbox data with third parties except as necessary to communicate with Dropbox services and perform actions you request in the app.


User Control


You can disconnect your Dropbox account from within the app where supported. You may also revoke CloudDock's access at any time from your Dropbox account settings.


Children's Privacy


CloudDock is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.


Security


We use reasonable technical measures to protect authentication data stored by the app. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.


Changes to This Policy


We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
